Yes, you can register multiple emails per service address by following the usual registration steps. Enter your name, the email address, and the password you would like to use, and then enter your account number and service address. This feature is especially useful when multiple household members would like their own logins to keep track of their water conservation.

Not all homes are the same, therefore Dropcountr collects household characteristics to provide an equitable and appropriate monthly goal, in tandem with the conservation or customer service goals at your utility.

Log in to your Dropcountr account and select "Settings" then "Notifications" to update your notification settings for monthly usage reports, leak alerts, utility alerts, thresholds, and tips. All messages received from your utility are always stored in the Inbox page, regardless of your notification settings.

Note, if you have multiple addresses set up in your Dropcountr account, you'll need to update notification settings for each Site Profile.

Dropcountr is supported for the account holder. It is the account holder's responsibility to negotiate sharing account details or log in credentials with a renter as they feel appropriate.

If your water bill is paid by your HOA or similar entity, and you are not a single family water customer, then you will not be able to see your home's individual water use. Water usage for non-single family accounts represents all water use associated with one water meter. For example, if you live in a fourplex, it is likely that the water use from all four units is captured by the same water meter - all of that water use would be represented in Dropcountr.

If you've moved and are still within the City of Simi Valley/Ventura Waterworks District No. 8 service area, log in to Dropcountr, select "Settings" then click on "Add Site." Enter the zip code for your new address, click "Find" then click on "Simi Valley." Enter your account number (including the dash) and the property address (exactly as they are shown on the utility statement). No, Dropcountr is only supported with municipalities and water utilities that have entered into a contract with Dropcountr.

Unfortunately, multi-family dwellings are not individually metered and only show total water use for all units. You can still sign up for Dropcountr, but know that you will be unable to view your individual unit's use. We suggest contacting your landlord or property manager to gain account information - private account information can only be given out to the account holder.

Access to Dropcountr is meant for the water bill account holder. If the water bill is in your landlord's name, then you will need their permission and account information to register for Dropcountr using your own log in information. We are unable to give out any private information.

Yes, if you are a renter and the water bill is in your name (or in care of current resident), then you can sign up for Dropcountr. All you need is the account number, account name, and your email address.

Dropcountr calculates your water use goals by using the information on your household and property size, your irrigation practices, and your use of water-consuming appliances in your home. You can change your goal by adjusting your household characteristics.

Your household is being compared to other similar households within a given geographic radius. Sometimes, when there are not enough similar households to compare you to, Dropcountr will compare you to the average usage in a given geographic radius and will be clear about that distinction in the comparison section.

Unfortunately, not all City of Simi Valley residents receive weekly or daily water use information. This can be due to a number of factors such as having an older meter model, the location of your home, or your meter's signal being disrupted by objects (walls, items, weather conditions, etc.) that inhibit its communication with a nearby gateway (an automatic meter data collector).

Your water data is logged every hour and collected by your utility once a day. Typically that data is updated on Dropcountr the following morning. Sometimes there can be a 1-3 day delay on data due to weather and network conditions. Dropcountr will backfill for days missed when the data is ultimately received.
