You can make payments quickly and easily using our Citizens' Self Service Web Portal. Through this portal you can pay your water utility bill, renew your business tax certificates, and apply for certain permits. Please note registration is required.

What permits can I obtain online?

Online permits are limited to simple residential building permits for electrical, plumbing, re-roofing, HVAC, and some household equipment (dishwashers, disposals, water heaters, etc.).

Who can I call to get help with permits?

Applicants with questions about the online system or residential building permits can call the Building and Safety Division of the Department of Environmental Services at (805) 583-6723 during regular business hours.

Is making online payments safe?

The City of Simi Valley is committed to provide a secure environment for payment processing. We use the industry standard protocol, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), to encrypt your personal information. This provides a secure pipeline to prevent the interception and misuse of data.

How do I know my connection is secure?

To ensure you are on a secure server, look for the padlock or key icon in the lower right hand corner of your browser. The padlock will appear locked, or the key should appear connected to indicate a secure server. The symbol may not be visible on general information screens about the service but can be found on any screens that transmit confidential account information.

Another indication of a secure Web site is the web address bar. Look for it to change from http://www… to https://www. The “s” indicates that the hypertext transfer protocol is secure. Additionally, a browser with 128-bit encryption is required. Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and Safari all support this level of security. If you use a different browser, verify that it supports this level of encryption for your security and confidence.
