The SBDC provides management assistance to current and prospective small business owners. The SBDC is designed to provide up to date counseling, training, and technical assistance in all aspects of small business management.

Women’s Economic Ventures is dedicated to the economic empowerment of women – cultivating the power within each woman to realize her dreams, achieve financial independence and succeed on her own terms. WEV provides training, advisory services, and loans to help entrepreneurs start, grow, and thrive in business. In addition to the City of Simi Valley, WEV serves all of the Ventura and Santa Barbara county areas. While WEV’s focus is on women, it welcomes people of all gender identities into the WEV community, and services are provided in both English and Spanish.

SCORE is a non-profit association sponsored by the Small Business Administration that provides counseling to help individuals start and operate successful small businesses. The counselors of SCORE Ventura County are active and retired business owners and managers that volunteer their experience and knowledge to help both established and potential businesses achieve success. The Workforce Development Board (WDB) of Ventura County offers a valuable resource for employers and job seekers to get help when they need it.

What is unique about WDB programs and services is that they are offered at no cost to employers and job seekers alike. Through the effective use of federal funds and strong partnerships with private and public sector providers, the WDB is able to offer quality support that otherwise would be costly for individuals or businesses to receive from other sources.

The AJC offers a variety of services to business owners to help them find employees that are a perfect fit for their company. Services offered include employee recruitment, employee development and training, information on industry trends and data, and business consulting services. And, all services are free to business owners!

For job seekers, a wide variety of services are available including resume and interview skills assistance, job listings, and employer information, customized training, and other resources to prepare individuals to enter or re-enter the workforce.
